Casino simulators: watch what the house edge actually does
Three tools that run on your own numbers, in your own browser, with no money involved. They exist to make the arithmetic visible, not to suggest it can be beaten.
What these are, and what they are not
Simulations. No operator, no account, no money, nothing to win. They are here because the house edge is far easier to understand when you watch it work than when you read a percentage. And the most expensive belief in gambling, that a losing run makes a win due, is best dismantled by running the numbers yourself.
1. The balance curve
Set a stake, a theoretical return and a volatility, then run it. Each spin is independent and drawn against the return you chose. Run it repeatedly. Some lines finish above where they started and most do not. The average across many runs lands close to the expected loss shown beneath the chart.

2. The blackjack strategy trainer
A hand is dealt and you choose. The trainer then states the mathematically correct play from the published table for these rules. That means four to eight decks, dealer stands on soft 17, doubling permitted after a split. Playing every hand correctly takes the house edge from roughly 2% to about 0.5%. That is the largest single improvement available to a player in any casino game. It does not make the game favourable.

3. Single zero against double zero
The same game on two different wheels. A single-zero wheel gives the house 2.70%; adding a second zero raises it to 5.26%. Enter a stake and a session length to see what that difference costs in money rather than percentage points. It is the clearest example in any casino of a rule change mattering more than a strategy.

What all three show
One thing, from three directions. The margin applies to every round independently, so the more you stake the closer your result moves to the expected loss. That is why a bonus with a turnover condition costs more than it gives. It obliges you to stake more, and staking more moves you towards the average rather than away from it. The wagering calculator puts a number on that for any specific offer.

Common questions
Do these simulators use real money?
No. Nothing here connects to an operator, no account is involved, no money moves and nothing can be won or lost. They run entirely in your browser on the numbers you enter.
Will practising here improve my results at a real casino?
Only in one narrow sense. The blackjack trainer teaches the mathematically correct decision for each hand. That reduces the house edge from roughly 2% to about 0.5% at a real table. It does not make the edge disappear or turn blackjack into a favourable game. The other two tools cannot improve anything — they exist to show what the edge does over time.
Why does the balance curve almost always end lower?
Because that is what a house edge is. At a 96% return, every C$100 staked returns C$96 on average, so the curve drifts down at roughly 4% of total turnover. Individual runs can finish well ahead, and the simulator will show you those too. But the longer a run continues, the closer it converges to the expected loss.
Are the RTP figures realistic?
The default 96% is typical of mainstream slots, and the range offered here (92–98%) covers what you will actually meet. Volatility changes the shape of the curve but not where it trends. Real games publish their own figure in the information panel, and operators can sometimes select between several settings for the same title.
Is the blackjack strategy table the real one?
Yes, for the stated rules: four to eight decks, dealer stands on soft 17, doubling allowed after a split. Basic strategy changes slightly with different rules, so a table for single-deck or dealer-hits-soft-17 games would differ in a handful of cells.
Can a betting system beat the edge?
No. Doubling after losses, or any other staking pattern, changes how outcomes are distributed but not their expected value. Each round is independent, and the margin applies to every one. What such systems reliably do is increase stake size during losing runs, which brings a table limit or an empty balance closer.
